Air Jordan is known for bringing a big change to the sport of basketball and to the athletic footwear industry. Before the Air Jordan, all basketball shoes were white, but since the famous basketball player Michael Jordan’s arrival and the launch of the Air Jordan franchise, both the game and the industry have completely changed with every year a new Air Jordan shoe product being revealed.

Simply known as Jordans, and named after the legendary Michael Jordan (the NBA professional basketball player), this brand of shoes and athletic clothing was first introduced in 1985 and produced by Nike, originally designed for and endorsed by Michael Jordan until late 1997. The Air Jordan line is now sold by Jordan Brand. Since its first release in 1985, there have been new designs of the shoe released each year, even after Michael Jordan retired from the NBA.

Today’s Air Jordan continues to enhance its loaded history of modern designs and uncompromising performance and maintains its lead in the athletic footwear industry.

The Air Jordan logo was designed by Tinker Hatfield who took charge of designing the Air Jordan logo after Peter Moore, the lead designer who quit Nike.     I enjoyed wearing his shoes since 1986. I have children now three boys, one girl, and one grandson. I can only buy for them now, but I enjoyed them for when it was my time.
