The American football team, the New York Giants, has obviously one of the finest histories in professional football. The team is a part of the East Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in National Football League (NFL). They joined the NFL in New York in 1925, which brought the league great national media attention and a larger fan base.

The team was founded by Tim Mara in 1925; however after his death in 1959, the ownership passed onto his son Wellington. The Giants made their first appearance against All New Britain in New Britain, Connecticut. They won the match in front of a crowd of 10,000. Altogether, the Giants have won seven NFL championships: four of which were in the pre-Super Bowl era and three since the initiation of Super Bowl (Super Bowls XXI, XXV and XLII).

In their period of over eighty years, the New York Giants have used many different logos. One of their logos features a giant player aiming to throw the football with great intensity. This logo has been modified to take a very modern look.

The colors in the New York Giants logo have also been refined giving the logo a brighter and more attractive look. The “ny” logo displayed above is filled with blue and outlined in red. The use of red and blue shows the team’s confidence, lively spirit, and courage.
