First, can the admin please remove that first post.

Now, the topic. Did the company know about the logo?

Of course they knew about the logo. It is China. It is not a creative country. I've seen more brand copying in my year in China than I have in all my years traveling other countries. It's incredible. And of course, half of it is misspelled.

All you have to do is a quick web search (include the quotes) for "sues Chinese" or "sues China".

Problem is, it is difficult for anyone to do anything about it. But plagiarism, copyright infringement, brand stealing, etc, is as common in China as coffee is common in Columbia.

The most humorous event in Shanghai is the international film festival. Because international artists and producers will come to Shanghai for this, DVD shops are raided approximately two weeks prior to the event. All the DVD shop owners know this, so, during these two weeks, they hide all the copies (basically the entire stock) and put out legitimate boxed dvds. You can still get the copies if you ask.

This is China, if any of this shocks you... you haven't been here.
