First it was the 76ers. Then the Toronto Maple Leafs. Now it’s the Ottawa Senators– or at least their fans anyway. Graphic designer Jacob Barrette has started an Internet petition lobbying for a more vintage-like logo as a way to connect modern day fans with the history of the team.
That sounds much like what the Maple Leafs and 76ers want. And after a disappointing 2008-09 season, maybe fans think a new look for the Senators also means a new attitude — one that will be followed by a more promising season.
So far, the petition has close to 1,000 signatures.
