There is no shortage of great logo design blogs in the design market right now. Blogging has become increasingly popular in the past 5 years, and since Graphic designers already start out a little artsy and creative, blogging is right up their alley. My favorite logo design blog is famouslogos.org, but I am biased of course. Famouslogos.org is here for our loyal readers to learn about different logos, the creative journey that is the logo design process. There are a lot of great logos out there, and the more you learn about other designers’ process and inspiration, historical and social trends in design, the more successful designer you become. Because I, myself like to read a logo design blog or two once in a while, I have outlined a few of my favorite logo design blogs and their purpose and style. Enjoy.
Just Creative Design
This site is a creative logo design blog that is written by designer Jacob Cass. He is a freelance logo designer, and also works for a design firm in New York City. There are a few reasons I love this site. I am not sure if this has anything to do with it, but he is adorable. His picture on the site is personal, flirty and unique, which says a lot about the kind of designer he is. I especially love his logo on the site, and he is a very talented and unique graphic designer. He maintains a few different logo design blogs and keeps them very current with fun new articles. His style is classic and timeless, but current. His logo design blog is a fun read.
Logo Design Love
For much different reasons, I enjoy reading David Airey’s Logo Design Love blog. He is a world renowned logo designer that specializes in brand identity. He works with clients all over the world and currently works out of his own firm in Ireland. He is also the author of the Logo design book, Logo Design Love. His logo design blog is a great resource for all the latest logo design tips, hints, technique, inspiration and an interesting look into his portfolio.
Logo of the Day
Not to make this all about Jacob Cass or anything, but this another one of his masterpieces. It is a logo design blog that is a quick pit stop on the way somewhere else. I enjoy reading this blog because I don’t have all day to read design blogs, but wouldn’t that be nice! I still have to actually be productive and not spend all my time reading about others’ work. Logo of the Day is a perfect break from what I am doing. He posts a logo each day and readers can vote on the logo. Some of the logos are really great. It is fun to see work in progress and get to see such a variety of different logos. It’s a fun logo design blog to stop by, on your way to somewhere productive.
